Journeys

Musings and meanderings…

Highbanks Dripping Rock loop trail; Columbus, Ohio

Honestly? It was all so very clear and defined. And then my dad died. And then my mom died. And then it was grandpa; all within fifteen months…

Cancer/heart/cancer. Add in a major surgery and a divorce/heartbreak, and life inevitably swirled into some new places.

I’m the blessed mom of three remarkable kids, reclaiming ownership of dreams long shelved but never forgotten.

Life’s pretty great. It’s a bit of a ride, even without the suitcase and airline ticket, but I’m always looking for my next travel adventure. I’m a post-gym class fitness junkie, voice-over artist, writer, photographer, non-cook, and mom of three remarkable kids (boy/girl/boy). I’ve done internet dating, rock climbing, live TV, microwave dinners, thunderstorm kayaking (not recommended), and been a room-mom assistant (never made the big-time on that one).

I write what I know. Observing and imagining the possibilities that lie within my own perimeter and stretching just slightly beyond, because…

Just “because”.
